6 Days Istanbul Cappadocia Ephesus Tour

Welcome to Turkey! Upon your arrival at Istanbul airport, take the next flight to Kayseri or Nevsehir (locations of the two main airports of Cappadocia). When you arrive at the airport in Cappadocia, you will meet our driver at the gate exit. Your guide will then give you an orientation of what you will do in your six days in Turkey. After you check into your hotel, you will relax, regroup, and prepare for the days ahead.

• Overnight in Cappadocia

• Devrent Valley (Imagination Valley)

Day 2 will begin with an exploration of Cappadocia with Devrent Valley (also known as Imagination Valley), where we will see the different types of Fairy Chimney formations, which formed almost 30 million years ago.

• Pasabag (Monks Valley)

We will then stop in Pasabag, where we will see the most interesting fairy chimneys, resembling those seen in the Hobbit and Smurfs.

• Pottery Workshop

This trip offers the opportunity to stop by a local pottery shop, where details are shared of how people survived and created beautiful art dating back to the Hittite period.

• Lunch at a local restaurant

• Goreme Open Air Museum

The stop at Goreme Open Air Museum allows you to discover some of the best cave churches of the 530 in Cappadocia.

• Uchisar Castle Region

We will stop at Uchisar Castle and Pigeon Valley, two of the best spots for photography and photo opportunities in the world.

• Pigeon Valley

Pause for a photo break at Pigeon Valley.

We will return to our hotel.

• Overnight in Cappadocia

• Kaymakli Underground City

First thing in the morning we drive to Kaymakli Underground City to see how Christians protect and defended themselves from the persecutions and invasions for centuries.

• Mustafapasa (Sinassos)

We are going to drive to Sinassos where we will see an Old Greek Village, which was re-inhabited after 1927.

• Lunch at a local restaurant

• Transfer to Airport

Drive to the airport and fly to İzmir.

Upon arrival at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport, we will drive one hour to our hotel for an overnight in Kusadasi or Selcuk.

• Ephesus

We will check out of our hotel and prepare to start our tour in Ephesus, where we can stroll and get lost inside the great Roman architecture and history.

• Lunch at a local restaurant

• Temple of Artemis

After lunch, we will drive to the Temple of Artemis, which was once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

• St. John’s Basilica

Later, we will visit the Basilica of St. John, which was donated by Justinianus, who financed Hagia Sophia in Constantinople.

• Virgin Mary’s House

• Selcuk Ephesus Museum

We will visit the Selcuk Ephesus Museum and see some amazing artifacts from Ephesus.

At the end of this day we are going to transfer to İzmir Airport and fly to İstanbul, check into our hotel, and relax for Day 5.

• Overnight in Istanbul

• Hippodrome

We will begin our walking tour with the Roman Hippodrome, which dates back to the 2nd century A.D. At this site, you will have the opportunity to see German Fountain, Obelisk of the Tuthmosis the 3rd, Serpent Column, and the Roman Obelisk.

• Blue Mosque

Later, we will visit the Blue Mosque, which was built in 1616 by the Ottoman Sultan Ahmet I.

• Hagia Sophia

We will visit Hagia Sophia, the great church built in 537 by Justinianus.

• Lunch at a local restaurant

• Topkapi Palace

We will continue our tour by visiting the great Ottoman Palace, Topkapi where Sultans lived for five centuries.

We will return to our hotel.

• Overnight in Istanbul

• Spice Market

First thing in the morning, we will meet in the lobby and check out from the hotel to enjoy your last day in Turkey. We will start our tour at the Spice Market, where you can find great deals on spices from around the world.

• Bosphorus Cruise (2 hours)

We are going to take the Bosphorus Cruise which will take approximately 2 hours. During this trip, you will be able to see some of the Palaces, Summer Mansions and houses from Ottoman Empire with İstanbul scenes.

• Dolmabahce Palace

We will later see the Dolmabahce Palace, which was the second residence of the Ottoman Sultans and their families following the 19th century

• Lunch at a local restaurant

• Grand Bazaar

Finally, we will stop at the Grand Bazaar, one of the oldest shopping malls in the world, which dates back to the 16th century.

Depending on your departure, we will transfer you to the airport via Istanbul.
